Rekha Bharadwaj is an Indian singer known for her distinctive singing style. She learnt music for six years at Gandharva Mahavidyala, following which she met Pt. Amarnath, who trained her in Gharana singing. In 2004, Rekha collaborated with Gulzar and released her first album, Ishqa Ishqa (2004). She is married to renowned Hindi film director Vishal Bharadwaj and is the recipient of a National Film Award (Best Female Playback Singer) for the film Ishqiya (2010). She also won the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song `Darling`. Her most notable works include Namak Ishq Ka Omkara (2006), Sasural Genda Phool, Delhi 6 (2009), Kabira Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Hamari Atariya Pe Dedh Ishqiya (2014). His 2018 release includes Pataakha.
