Josephine, better known by her screen name Rekha, is an Indian film and TV actress who primarily works in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. The winner of Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her role in the Malayalam film Dasharatham (1989). After making her debut with the Tamil film Kadalora Kavithaigal (1986), the actress has worked in more than 60 films across in Malayalam and Tamil films. Few of her most popular films include Katha Nayagan (1988), Annamalai (1992), Kidilol Kidilam (1995), Bangalore Days (2014) and Pachakkallam (2016). Her 2017 release includes Vedham directed by Prasad Yadav. Apart from films, the actress has also worked in several TV shows like Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, a Tamil soap opera, which was broadcast on Star Vijay.
