Daughter of music maestro Acharya Jayanta Bose, Rema Bose started her career in the field of film-making in 2013. Ever since she has made quite a few short films, music videos, and documentaries, some of her notable work being Dashamahavidya (2013), Doya Kore... Please (2013), and E Desh Bashi Bhalo (2014). Later, Bose made her directorial debut with the full-length feature film Bhagshesh, which also marked her debut as a writer and producer.

Hailing from a musical background, she has also written and composed the title track 'Ektu Hashir Chhowa' and rendered the song 'Ami Amar Hote' in Bhagshesh (2018).
