Remo Girone is a veteran Italian film and stage actor who began his acting career in the early 70`s. He is perhaps best for the portrayal of the Mafia leader Tano Cariddi in TV mini-series La Piovra (The Octopus). Girone acting credits include movies like Breath of Life (1990), Heaven (2002), Round Trip (2004), Quijote (2006) and Fondi `91 (2013). He played an Italian-American mob boss in Ben Affleck`s crime drama Live by Night (2016). The movie also Affleck in the lead role. He stars alongside Marton Csokas, Emilia Clarke and Caterina Murino in Eric D. Howell`s supernatural mystery thriller Voice from the Stone (2017). The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Silvio Raffo.
