Reshmi Mitra is an Indian movie director who started her career with the 2012 action drama Macho Mustanaa, starring Hiran Chatterjee and Puja Bose, which portrays the struggles of a carefree boy to win his love. She also directed the 2017 drama Hothat Dekha, starring Debashree Roy and Ilias Kanchan, which was screened in the KIFF Bengali Panorama section, 2016. Reshmi has received training in theatre direction, and is also involved in various theatre aspects like costume designing, publicity and more. Not only this, she has also been involved in managing several events, including film and theatre festivals, as well as award functions. Her other movie venture in 2017 includes the drama Baranda, which depicts the complexity of human relationships through the lives of two people. The movie stars Sreela Majumdar and Manali Dey in the lead roles.
