Born in a Bengali family, film actress Rhea Chakraborty started off as Video Jockey and hosted several shows with MTV India. Some of her notable works are Pepsi MTV Wassup, MTV Gone in 60 Seconds, and TicTac College Beat.
Chakraborty made her silver screen debut in the Telugu film
Tuneega Tuneega (2012). In 2013, the actress made her Bollywood debut in
Mere Dad Ki Maruti, followed by Sonali Cable (2014), where she played the titular role. She, later, went on appear in films like
Bank Chor (2017),
Half Girlfriend (2017) and
Dobaara: See Your Evil (2017). Her next project was the romantic drama
Jalebi (2018), where she starred opposite Varun Mitra. Her 2021 releases include
Chehre, a mystery drama starring
Amitabh Bachchan and
Emraan Hashmi.
