Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique, commonly known as Riaz, is a prominent Bangladeshi film actor, producer, model and television presenter. He has acted in more than 100 Bengali films and is the recipient of several awards, including three National Film Awards and seven Meril Prothom Alo Awards. He made his debut as an actor with the social action drama, Banglar Nayok (1995), followed by Praner Cheye Priyo (1997), where gained popularity by playing the lead role. Riaz worked alongside Bollywood actress, Sushmita Sen, in the film, It Was Raining That Night. Riaz is critically acclaimed for working with renowned filmmakers in Bangladesh, and has acted in a number of commercially successful films. Some of his notable works include Dui Duari (2000), Premier Taj Mahal (2002), Bhalobasa Kare Koy (2002), Moner Majhe Tumi (2003), Hajar Bachhor Dhore: Symphony of Agony (2005), Shasti (2004), Hridoyer Kotha (2006), Daruchini Dip (2007), Khelaghor: Dollhouse (2006), Ki Jadu Korila (2008) and Akash Chhoa Bhalobasa (2008). Riza was last seen in Lobhey Pap Papey Mrityu (2014) and Krishnopaksho (2015). His upcoming film, Sweet Heart, is slated for a February 2016 release.
