A popular yesteryear American actor, Richard Dennings is noted for starring mostly in science fiction films during the 1950s. After earning his master degree in Business Administration from Woodbury Business College in Los Angeles, he was all set to work with his father in his garment manufacturing business, however, he developed a keen interest in acting and he made his acting debut with Hold’em Navy (1937). He subsequently starred in films like Unknown Island (1948), Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Target Earth (1954), Day the World Ended (1955), and The Black Scorpion (1957). Apart from films, Dennings also has an extensive career in the TV industry. After making his debut on the small screen with The Bigelow Theatre (1951), Dennings subsequently featured in several series’ including Mr. and Mrs. North (1952-53), Schlitz Playhouse of Stars (1954), Celebrity Playhouse (1956), General Electric Theater (1957), I Spy (1968), and McCloud (1974). Dennings who quit acting at the age of 32 after his marriage to Evelyn Ankers passed away in 1985 after he succumbed to cancer.
