Early Life :
Richard Lewis Springthorpe (later known as Rick Springfield) is a Musician, Singer-Songwriter, Record producer, Actor and Author. Springfield was 13 when he first played guitar. He graduate of The Joanne Baron DW Brown Studio .He debut in television as ``Dr. Noah Drake`` on the soap General Hospital (1963).
Career Highlights :
Rick acted in TV series like The Six Million Dollar Man (1974). In 1981, he released album, Working Class Dog, gave him the single ``Jessie`s Girl``, a worldwide hit which peaked at No. 1 for two weeks in the US on the Hot 100 and the Australian Kent Music Report singles chart. He became a teen idol, from the music and TV exposure. He also won the Grammy Award for Jessie`s Girl in 1982 for Best Rock Vocal Male Performance. Springfield made a full-length feature film named Hard to Hold (1984), Nick Knight (1989), In the Shadows, Someone`s Watching (1993), Legion (1998), Dying to Dance (2001). Meanwhile, he did TV Series like General Hospital (1983-2013), Californication (2007-2014), Hot in Cleveland (2010-present). His upcoming projects are Ricki and the Flash (2015) and True Detective (2015).
