Rima Kallingal is an Indian actress who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. She made her acting debut in the 2009 coming of age drama film Ritu, and rose to prominence when she played the lead role in the critically acclaimed thriller film 22 Female Kottayam (2012). Rima`s performance in the film earned her a Kerala State Film Award, a Filmfare Award and a SIIMA Award for Best Actress that year. Other significant acting credits include Kerala Cafe (2009), City of God (2011), Ayalum Njanum Thammil (2012), Rani Padmini (2015) and Clint (2017). She is married to filmmaker Aashiq Abu. She is associated with the 2018 comedy-drama Aabhaasam directed by Jubith Namradath. Her 2019 release includes Virus, directed by Aashiq Abu.
