Ritwik Ghatak (Ghatak) was a director, screenwriter and story-writer. The films he has directed include Titash Ekti Nadir Naam, Subarnarekha, Meghe Dhaka Tara. He also wrote the story for film Pasanda Pandit and various others. He won National Film Award (1974) for his work in Jukti Takko Aar Gappo.
