Roberto Schaefer is an American cinematographer. He made his debut in the 1989 Italian crime drama La fine della notte (The End of the Night), and has since helmed the camera department in over 20 films and several television shows. He is a frequent collaborator of writer-director Marc Foster, and has worked in several of the latter's critically acclaimed films like Finding Neverland (2004), Stranger than Fiction (2007) and The Kite Runner (2007). At The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage in 2013, Schaefer and Foster won the Cinematographer-Director Duo Award for their collective achievements. In 2005, Schaefer was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award for Best Cinematography for his work in the historical fantasy drama Finding Neverland. Other notable film credits include Monster'Ball (2001), Stay (2005), Quantum of Solace (2008), Leaves of Grass (2009), Miles Ahead (2015) and Geostorm (2017).
