The thirteen time Academy Award for Best Cinematography nominee, Roger Alexander Deakins is an English cinematographer who is best known for his work in Hollywood cinema. For his outstanding contribution to cinema, Deakins, the member of the American and the British Society of Cinematographers, he received the American Society of Cinematographer Lifetime Achievement Award. Deakins, who made his debut with Another Time, Another Place in 1983, over the years has worked in more than 30 films. Few of his most notable film credits include Return to Waterloo (1984), Stormy Monday (1988), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Fargo (1996), A Beautiful Mind (2001), No Country for Old Men (2007), Sicario (2015) and Hail, Ceasar! (2016). He served as cinematographer n Villeneuve`s sci-fi movie, Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott movie, Blade Runner. His other release includes The Goldfinch (2019) and 1917 (2020).
