A veteran English TV and film actor and theater artist, Ronal Pickup has been acting since 1964. Born in Chester, England, Pickup is an alumnus of the acclaimed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art School in London. Having started his acting career as a theater artist, Pickup performed with eminent theater personalities like Laurence Olivier at the Royal National Theatre mostly notable in playing like Three Sisters and Long Day's Journey into Night.

The winner of the prestigious Laurence Olivier Theatre Award, Pickup made his debut on the silver screen with the British drama film Three Sisters in 1970. Over the years, he starred in more than 30 films and established himself as one of the most actors. Some of his notable film credits include The Letter (1982), The Fourth Protocol (1987), Lolita (1997), Secret Passage (2004), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (20120, and Darkest Hour (2018), a British war drama directed by Joe Wright.
