Roy Lee is an American film producer known for producing remakes of popular Asian films under his banner, Vertigo Entertainment. He has produced movies like The Ring (2002), The Grudge (2004), Eight Below (2006), The Lake House (2006), The Departed (2006), Assassination of a High School President (2008), The Strangers (2008), The Voices (2014), The Lego Movie (2014), Poltergeist (2015), Hidden (2015), The Boy (2016), Blair Witch (2016), The LEGO Batman Movie (2017), IT: Chapter Two (2019), Brahms: The Boy II (2020) and The Turning (2020). Lee also produced Death Note (2017), the Netflix adaptation of the classic anime of the same name. In 2017 he also produced Andy Muschietti`s horror movie, It.

In the year 2019, Roy Lee produced the sequel to Godzilla (2014), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
