Russell Metty was an American cinematographer and he was best known for his work in the movies The Stranger and Touch of Evil. Metty`s career began around 1925 as an assistant with Standard Film Laboratory, later he was hired by Paramount Pictures for Camera department and some of his movies include The Great Man Votes, This Earth is Mine and Annabel Takes a Tour. Metty died on April 28, 1978.
