Born on July 29, 1984, in Mysuru, Karnataka, S. Bhagat Raj (Rajesh) is a Kannada writer and director with a strong background in theatre. He started his career as an assistant director on films like Appacchi and Manjina Hani. Rajesh made his directorial debut with Buddhivantha and has since directed several films, including The Suit (2024) and Taane c/o Srirampura. He also directed documentaries like Parivarthane and Sankalpa. Trained under C K M Rao, he has collaborated with Matta Guruprasad on multiple scripts.
