S. S. Rajendran also known by his stage name SSR is a film actor, director, producer and a politician. He made his debut in the Film Parasakthi released in the year 1952 and is well-known for his breath taking dialogue delivery and pronunciation. Later he joined politics to support DMK Party and after 1961 he joined ADMK. He is popularly known as ILATCHIYA NADIGAR and received seven president awards including Central/State.
