Sabal Singh Shekhawat is a writer and director, who was born in Assam. He moved to Mumbai in the late 80s to pursue a career in Bollywood. Initially Sabal worked as a copywriter for an advertising agency and soon collaborated with Shantanu Sheorey, a prolific photographer and television commercial director. He then set up his own production company named The Big Picture Company, which is known for producing several award winning commercials. Sabal has written and directed the upcoming movie Fireflies, which is slated to release in October 2014.
