Sagar Puranik is an actor, director, and a writer in the Kannada film and TV industry. He runs a media production house called Puranik Productions. He won the National award (Special Mention) for his direction of a short film on the Indian Army and the freedom fighters of India, called 'Mahaan Hutatma', at the 66th National Film awards. The short went on to screen in over 15 International film festivals and won multiple awards.
Sagar Puranik's debut feature film directorial on urbanization and it's effects on indigenous folk art forms, called 'Dollu', is already doing it's rounds in the international film festival circuit, with multiple official selections and Best Film awards.
Sagar has been a part of several TV shows, feature films, web series, short films, TVCs, documentaries and corporate films. He has also written the stories for all the projects he has directed and produced.
