Hailing from Delhi, Sahil finished his Bachelor of Technology from Delhi Technological University. In this time, he worked with his college dramatics society, 'Pratibimb' and performed at Delhi University Theatre Circuit. He won three best actor awards for his play 'Kaumudi'. After this he worked with Pierrot's Troupe in numerous productions and along with this worked on a self-directed version of 'Marnoprant'.
