Sakthisree Gopalan is an Indian singer, vocalist, song writer and performer in Indian contemporary, pop and soft rock genres. She was born on October 25, 1988 and brought up in Kochi, Kerala, India. She was trained in Carnatic music for 13 years. In 2008, she debuted into film playback, after winning the title "SS Music Voice Hunt". She is a lead vocalist for the freestyle band group called Off The Record.She performed live concert at Software Paradigms Infotech Pvt Ltd (SPI), Mysuru in 2015 along with Benny Dayal. She has won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer - Tamil and the Vijay Award for Best Female Playback Singer for singing "Nenjukkulle" from the film, Kadal. She also got nominated for her song "Naan Nee" from the film, Madras. Some of the films recorded her voice, such as "Irumbukottai Murattu Singham", "Kattradhu Kalavu" and "Rajathi Raja".
