Mainly associated with composing additional music for movies, Sameer Nichani made his debut in 2011 with the movie Mausam. Following his debut, he composed additional music for movies such as Rush, Kai Po Che!, Bewakoofiyaan, Hunterrr, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Dangal, and Jagga Jasoos. In 2017, he was credited as the score composer of the Kalki Koechlin and Richa Chadda-starrer drama Jia Aur Jia.
