An Indian cinematographer, writer and director, Sameer Thahir is known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Having made his debut in the film industry as a cinematographer with Big B (2007), he made his debut as a director with the Malayalam film Chappa Kurish (2011). His other notable films credits as a cinematographer include Nidra (2012), Diamond Necklace (2012), Bangalore Days (2014) and Velai Illa Pattathari 2 (2017), an action drama directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. His 2019 release includes Thamaasha.
