Best known for his collaboration with fellow musician, Rishi, Samidh Mukherjee is one of the most popular composers, singers, and songwriters in Bengali cinema. After completing his degree in law from the Hazra Law College, Kolkata, Mukherjee started his career in the music industry in the 1990s as a bass guitarist and vocalist with the band named Dynamites.
Three years later, in 1993, Samidh joined the Bengali band, Prash Pathar as a vocalist and bass guitarist, before eventually joining the English classic rock band, Hip Pocket as bass guitarist. The winner of FEVER 104 FM Best Music Director Award, Mukherjee has worked with several renowned singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, and Sunidhi Chauhan.
Some of his notable credits as a composer includes Macho Mustanaa, Loveria, Kranti, Dui Prithibi, 100% Love, Faade Poriya Boga Kaande Re and Boxer (2018), a Bengali drama directed by Sanjoy Bardhon.
