Samragnee Bandyopadhyay is primarily a noted contemporary Bengali poet who has been awarded Sahitya Akademy Yuva Puraskar and Krittibas Puraskar for her poetry book Khelnabatir din Shesh. After a Masters in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, she became a scholar of Gender Studies and a teacher of Bangla to foreign students in the same college. She is an ex faculty of the American Institute of Indian Studies. She has also worked a few days as a radio jockey and a freelance journalist. She did her debut as a story and screenplay writer in Mukherjee Dar Bou (2019). Her 2019 releases as a scriptwriter include Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti.
