A popular actress in the Malayalam film industry, Sana Althaf started her career in the entertainment industry as a TV host before eventually moving to acting. After her brief stint as the host for the series My Show (2014-15), Sana made her acting debut with Vikramadithyan (2014) where she played a supporting role. Post his maiden appearance on the big screen, the following year the actress made her debut in a lead role with Mariyam Mukku (2015) where she played the role of Salomi. Her other notable films include Rani Padmini (2015), Chennai 600028 II (2016), a Tamil film and Basheerinte Premalekhanam (2017), a Malayalam-language romance comedy directed by Aneesh Anwar.
