His deep expertise spans multiple major regional and mainstream markets, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Bhojpuri cinema. A versatile industry professional, his skill set encompasses script development, principal photography, content acquisition, theatrical distribution, creative direction, and large-scale team leadership. He is widely recognized for his capability in managing high-budget productions, delivering commercially viable projects, and building robust, pan-India professional relationships across the entertainment sector.

As a creative director, he worked on major Hindi features, including Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, directed by K. S. Adhiyaman and starring actors Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai, as well as Shaadi Karke Phans Gaya Yaar, starring actors Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty.

In his capacity as a film distributor, he successfully managed the logistics and market release for titles such as the Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala starrer Guddu, the thriller Jaane Hoga Kya starring actors Aftab Shivdasani and Bipasha Basu, the legal drama Court: State vs A Nobody, and the multi-starrer Kannada period action film Kabzaa, featuring actors Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, Sudeep, and Shriya Saran.

Sanjay's extensive portfolio as an executive and co-producer includes collaborations on monumental regional projects, remakes, and commercial blockbusters. In Tamil cinema, his credits include Priyasakhi, directed by K. S. Adhiyaman and starring actors Madhavan and Sada; Bhaskar Oru Rascal, directed by Siddique and starring actors Arvind Swamy and Amala Paul; Thotta Chinungi (which was later remade in Hindi as Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam); Swarnamukhi, starring actors Prakash Raj, Devayani, and Parthiban; and Charlie Chaplin (the source material for the Hindi comedy No Entry). He was also associated with the blockbuster Pokkiri, starring actor Thalapathy Vijay (later remade in Hindi as Wanted); the espionage thriller Vishwaroopam, starring actor Kamal Haasan; the action enterprise Singham 3, directed by Hari and starring actors Suriya and Anushka Shetty; and the action drama Poojai, starring actor Vishal.

Varma across Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu languages. He is also attached to Shiva Chase 7, directed by SK Singh Rajput, and Nagabandham: The Secret Treasure, directed by Abhishek Nama. Stepping in front of the camera, he joins the cast of the film Mambo as an actor, a project directed by National Award-winning director Prabhu Solomon and produced by Kaja Mydeen for Roja Combines. His slate further features the supernatural thriller Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, alongside several other mainstream commercial projects.
