A renowned personality in the Marathi theatre industry, Dr. Sanjeevkumar Patil has been part of the theatre business for 27 years and he has conducted several plays under the banner of Atharva theatres. Apart from working in the theatre, the veteran star has also worked extensively in the Marathi TV and film industry. He has starred in several popular serials like Char Divas Sasuche, Lakshya, Shantecha Karta Chalu Aahe, and To mee navhech.

The three-time winner of Best actor award and a Silver medal winner at the Rajya Natya Spardha, Sanjeevkumar also has his name etched in the Limca Book of Records for performing non-stop in four plays in one-day. Some of his notable film appearances include Babu Band Baja, Shree Partner, Shree Yogi, Badlaapur, Budhyiasing Born to Run and Blue Jeans Blues (2018), a Hindi comedy directed by Nitin Mahajan.
