Santosh Mayekar, commonly known as Mayekar in film circles, is an Indian actor, who works exclusively in the Marathi film industry. He entered the industry with the 2006 movie, Devashappath Khote Sangen. Over the years Santosh has acted in movies like Chashme Bahaddar (2006), Galgale Nighale (2008), Saatbara Kasa Badalala (2011), Satya Savitree Ani Satyawan (2012), Laxmi Tuzyavina (2014), IPL Indian Premacha Lafda (2014) and Aart (2016). In 2017 Santosh acted in director Sandeep Bhalachandra Patil`s comedy-drama, Dashakriya. The cast also includes Dilip Prabhavalkar, Aditi Deshpande, Manoj Joshi, Jaywant Wadkar, Nandkishor Chougule and Milind Pathak in important roles. Dashakriya has won three National Awards and was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
