Born in Calcutta, India, Saptrishi Ghosh started doing theatre at an early age and consequently moved to Mumbai in 1996. He then began his career as a voice artist and contributed to several popular TV shows such as Family No. 1 and was also associated with the Discovery Channel and Zee TV in 1998. In the same year, he also appeared in the film Amrita funded by NFDC (National Film Development Corporation of India). The following year he appeared in the Bengali movie titled Shotti Eyi Toh Jibon. Few of Saptrishi's TV acting credits include Shaadi No.1, Mahashweta, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein, and Balika Vadhu. In 2012, he contributed as a voice artist in the animated movie Sons of Ram. He has also starred in the Bengali movie Kanamachhi Bho Bho (2016).
