Kollywood writer-director Sathyasiva is best familiar to the audience for his debut directorial Kazhugu (2012), which starred Krishna Kulasekaran and Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles. The film, which received mixed to positive reviews upon its release, was a commercial success and has since been followed up with a sequel titled Kazhugu 2.

Other notable film credits include the comedy-drama Savaale Samaali (2015), Sivappu (2015) and the Rana Daggubati starrer Madai Thiranthu. His 2019 release includes Kazhugu 2, directed by Sathyasiva.
