An Indian writer and poet of Gujarati origin, Saumya Joshi is a well-known name for his plays, including Dost Chokkas Ahin Ek Nagar Vastu Hatu and Welcome Zindagi. Rami Lo Ne Yaar!, Aathma Taaru Nu Aakash, Munjaro, Mahatma Bomb, Tu Tu Tu Tu Tu Tara and Dharo Ke Tame Manji Chho are some of his notable works in Gujarati theatre. His other credited works include a book titled The Greenroom, a collection of his poems and 102 Not Out (2018), a Hindi film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor. He was a part of the crew in the 2019 period drama film Hellaro.
