A director and music composer in the Kannada film industry, SD Aravinda is the grandson of Kannada comedian Narasimharaju. He made his foray with a programme with his grandfather called Haasya Chakravarhi, which aired in Doordarshan in 1988. His feature film debut came in 2010 with Jugari after which he moved on direct Last Bus (2016), and Mataash (2018), for which he also composed the music. He also served as music director for Last Bus (2016), Ditta Heje (2017), Mojo (2017) and Mataash (2019). His 2021 project includes the drama thriller movie Amruth Apartments, directed by Gururaj Kulkarni.
