BAFTA-nominated British cinematographer Sean Bobbitt debuted in cinema with the drama film Wonderland in 1999, and has since filmed over twenty-five movies in a career spanning around two decades. Well-known for his association with filmmaker Steve McQueen, Bobbitt has helmed the camera department in the Oscar-winning period drama 12 Years a Slave (2013) directed by the latter; besides a number of other movies.

Other notable film credits include the historical drama Hunger (2008), the drama Shame (2011), the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines (2012), the biographical crime thriller Kill the Messenger (2014) and the heist film Widows (2018). His other releases include The Courier (2020), The Rhythm Section (2020), Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), The Harder They Fall (2021) and Captain Marvel 2 (2022).
