He is popularly known for his role in the film, The Lives of Others (2006) and also won the Academy award for the same. Later, he worked in films like A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), Princesse Marie (2004), Take Down and Bridge of Spies (2015) and The Danish Girl (2016).
