Editor-turned-filmmaker Shabbir Mallick began his film journey by assisting director Mainak Bhaumik in films like Bibaho Diaries (2017), Chawlochhitro Circus (2017), Ghore and Baire (2018) and Happy Pill (2018). Subsequently, he made his independent directorial debut in 2019 with the horror thriller film Bhoot Chaturdashi.
