Indian lyricist and screenplay writer Shaheen Iqbal has been a part of the industry for close to two decades. He wrote the screenplay of the 1999 Bollywood drama Heeralal Pannalal, featuring Mithun Chakraborty and Johnny Lever in the lead. He then went on to pen down lyrics and was associated with movies like Inth Ka Jawab Patthar, Sandhya, Hum Dum, Men Not Allowed, and Revolver Rani. He then returned to screenplay writing with the 2014 Punjabi drama Patiala Dreamz, following which he worked on the screenplay of the 2017 Hindi drama Phullu, penning down its dialogues as well as lyrics.
