Shaji N. Karun is an Indian film director and cinematographer. He made his directorial debut with the film Piravi (1988) that got him Camera d`Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He is also the winner of the Kerala State Film Awards for Best Director for Swaham (1994) and Vanaprastham (1999). His other projects include Panchavadi Pala (1984), Antim Nyay (1993), AKG (2007), Kutty Srank (2009) and Swapaanam (2013). His 2018 project includes Oolu.
