Actor and comedian Shakalaka Shankar first came to public attention courtesy of the popular ETV comedy show Jabardasth, and has since made a name for himself in Telugu cinema through a number of memorable performances. Among these are the Mahesh Babu starrer Aagadu (2014), the romantic comedy A Aa (2016), the action comedy Gunturodu (2017) and the horror comedy Raju Gari Gadhi 2 (2017).

Other notable acting credits in recent times include the horror comedy Anando Brahma (2017), the family drama Ammammagarillu (2018) and the comedy-drama Jamba Lakidi Pamba (2018). He is associated with the 2018 Telugu drama Shambho Shankara directed by N. Sreedhar and Amar Akbar Anthony.
