Malayalam star Shani Shaki started his career as a photographer and also had a background as a stylist before venturing into films. His claim to fame was the 2013 blockbuster hit Nee Koo Nja Cha after which he became highly popular with the masses. He then moved on to do films like Karma Cartel, Acha Din and Rockstar, for which he even attempted to learn to play the drums. These films established the actor in the industry despite him being a late bloomer, before he featured in B. Tech.
