About
Shantanu Anand is a poet and writer whose work sits at the intersection of language, emotion, and lived experience. His journey with spoken word began long before it became a movement, and he was part of Spoken Fest right from its very first edition in 2017. Over the next five years at Kommune and Spoken Fest, he shaped and sharpened not just his voice, but the voices of countless others. He has also co-founded Airplane Poetry Movement, one of the earliest platforms that nurtured performance poetry in India.
His writing has continued to grow and evolve from stage pieces to short fiction, recently earning him a shortlist for the Deodar Short Fiction Prize. Shantanus poetry often reads like conversation, reflection, and revelation all at once. His work draws from memory, identity, and the quiet truths that live between the lines, inviting the listener into a space of shared thought and shared feeling. Whether on page or stage, he continues to explore how stories can shape us and how we, in turn, shape them.
