One of the most popular Gujarati actors, Sharad Sharma is a known face in the Hindi film industry as well. Beginning his career in the 1980s, Sharad has appeared in Bollywood films such as Dhuan (1981), Pehla Nasha (1993), Daraar (1996), Soldier (1998), and Rockstar (2011). Few of his popular Gujarati movies include Romeo & Radhika (2016), Half Ticket (2016), and Shootout (2016), Thun Thun Gopal (2017) and Chor Bani Thangaat Kare (2017).

Sharad has also been a part of the television industry. In 1995, he appeared as Kadar Bhai on Hum Paanch, one of the most successful comedy TV shows of India. He was also a part of the popular TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah from 2008 to 2015. His 2018 movie releases include Tension Thai Gayu. His 2019 release includes Lapet, directed by Nishith Brahmbhatt.
