About
Despite working on a handful of movies before 2001, it was only after Bridget Jones’s Diary that gained the Welsh film director Sharon Maguire recognition. Soon after Maguire completed her postgraduate course in journalism at the City University, London, she took up the job of a researcher on The Media Show. She soon got the job of a producer and director of BBC’s The Late Show. After the success of her 2001 romantic comedy Bridget Jones’s Diary, she worked on movies such as Incendiary (2008), the TV movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film (2013), and Bridget Jones’s Baby (2016).
