Music director and singer Sujith Vasudevan I, better known by his stage name Sharreth, is associated predominantly with the Malayalam film industry, but has branched out to compose for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. Making his debut with the film Kshanakkathu in 1990, he moved on to films like Pavithram (1994), Thacholi Varghese Chekavar (1995), Cover Story (2000), among others. The year 2000 saw Sharreth make his Bollywood debut with the Manisha Koirala, Arvind Swamy starrer Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya.

It was not until 2005, that he made his Tamil debut with June R and his Telugu debut with Kalavaramaye Madilo in 2009. Sharreth won many accolades for his compositions in the film industry like the Kerala State Film Award for Best Classical Music Singer for Meghatheertham in 2009, Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director for Ivan Megharoopan in 2011 as well as the Mullassery Raju Music Award Thirakkatha in 2008. His other notable work includes Rudraksham (1994), Sagaram Sakshi (1994), Magic Magic 3D (2003), Kanyakumari Express (2010), Drushyam (2017), and Autorsha (2018), among others before he composed music for Neeli (2018).
