Shashidhar Adapa is a renowned Indian production designer, set designer, and puppet designer, most notably known for his work in Kannada cinema. He founded Prathiroopi in 1984, a company specializing in television, film, and stage set design. With over 30 years of experience, Adapa has collaborated with some of the most famous theater personalities and contributed to over 45 Kannada films, as well as films in Tamil, Hindi, and French. His contributions to stagecraft have earned him multiple accolades, including four Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Art Direction and the Chaman Lal Memorial Award in 2004 for his exceptional work in stage design.
