Shikhar Naad Qureshi is the son and disciple of remowned percussion maestro Taufiq Qureshi. the grandson of tabla legend Ustad Allarakha and nephew of the world famed rhythm genius Ustad Zakir Hussain. Apart from performing on percussion-contraption, Shikhar Naad carries forward the concept pioneered by his father of defining the tabla repertoire and knowledge on to the African instrument djembe.

Shikhar Naad has had the blessing of sharing the stage with Vidhwan Vikku Vinayakramji on several occasions.He has also shared the stage with maestroos like Ranjit Barot, Louis Banks, Niiladri Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan. He regularly performs with some of India's
leading classical and fusion artistes like Purbayan Chatterjee, Ravi Chary, Vijay Prakash among others. He has also performed with international names such as George Brooks, Torsten de Winkel. Shikhar regularly features in several Bollywood film soundtracks.
He is also a music producer, having assisted his father on severral advertisement jingles, Sufi pop albums from London and background scores.
