Shiv-Hari refers to the legendary Indian musical duo of Santoor maestro Shivkumar Sharma and celebrated flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia. While the individual careers of these two musicians span over six decades, the beginning of their collaboration date back to the late 1960s. The duo has produced some of the finest Indian classical music albums of the 20th century besides scoring the music for several films. Notable among their feature film credits are the romantic drama Silsila (1981), Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991) and Darr (1993), and they've been nominated thrice for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. The 1967 Hindustani classical music album Call of the Valley remains one of Shiv-Hari's most celebrated works till date. Over the years, they've also toured around the world and performed live at venues in several countries.
