Having started his career as an assistant director to Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, Shlok Sharma made his debut as a Bollywood director with the 2013 drama Shorts. Before turning into a director, Shlok was associated with movies such as Omkara, No Smoking, Dev.D, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Bombay Talkies as an assistant director. Since his directorial debut, he has directed movies like Haraamkhor and Zoo.
