Shohreh Aghdashloo is an Iranian-American TV, film and theater actress who started her career on the stage before eventually making her debut on the silver screen with The Report (1977), which won her the Critics Award at the Moscow Film Festival. Her other notable films includes Sooteh-Delan (1978), House of Sand and Fog (2003), which won her several awards including Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female, New York Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress and Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her 2017 release includes The Promise directed by Terry George. Apart from her film career, the actress is also a well-known personality in the TV industry and has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.
